 1. DTF PET Transfer Film Product Overview
Product Name: DTF PET Transfer Film (Direct-to-Film Transfer Film).

Available Specifications: A4/A3/A3+ Sheet, 40*50cm Sheet, 30cm*100m Roll, 33cm*100m Roll, 40cm*100m Roll, 42cm*100m Roll, 45cm*100m Roll, 60cm*100m Roll, 63cm*100m Roll, 65cm*100m Roll, 80cm*100m Roll, 90cm*100m Roll, 120cm*100m Roll, 130cm*100m Roll, 160cm*100m Roll, 180cm*100m Roll.

2. Recommended Storage Requirements

Store the DTF PET transfer film within a well-ventilated and dry indoor environment. Reseal the original packaging promptly upon partial consumption to prevent ambient contamination and moisture ingress.
  1. Optimized storage temperature range: 18-26 °C
  2. Optimized relative humidity for storage: 20-40% RH

Critical Note: When roll film stock is exposed to open air for extended duration, the coating layer may absorb atmospheric moisture or capture airborne dust. Prior to commencing print runs, trim off the exposed marginal segment of the roll to eliminate compromised material. Handle film rolls with caution; avoid mechanical compression and contusion. During slitting operations, calibrate cutter force and cutting angle to avert deep incision scratches across the functional coating surface.

3. Core Product Characteristics & Application Scope

DTF (Direct-to-Film) PET transfer film is engineered for compatibility with white pigment DTF ink systems. It delivers high chroma printed outputs, consistent batch to batch quality and superior operational performance. The material is eco-friendly and non hazardous. Its workflow eliminates steaming procedures required by traditional transfer technologies.

The substrate exhibits broad ink compatibility. Target end users include digital transfer printing manufacturers, heat transfer conversion factories, apparel branding producers. Typical use cases cover garment transfer labels, graphic heat transfer motifs, custom wash care labels, personalized textile customization to DTG workflows.

Applicable substrates include ready made T-shirts, cut and sew fabric panels, woven shirt textiles and a comprehensive range of textile materials for direct to film digital printing. This medium is optimized specifically for white ink DTF transfer workflows. No plotter engraving, contour hollowing or masking processes are required; it supports direct white ink injection for thermal transfer manufacturing.

4. DTF Film Classification by Release Property

DTF PET transfer films are categorized into single sided coated and double sided coated variants, further differentiated by release performance: hot peel, warm peel and cold peel grades.
  1. Hot peel film: Produces graphics with organic visual texture after hot delamination.
  2. Cold peel film: Generates ultra smooth graphic surfaces post cold peeling, enhancing lacquer like finish and skin contact tactility.

5. Hot Melt Adhesive Powder Classification & Matching Guidance

Hot melt adhesive powders are classified by particle fineness: coarse grade (80 µm), medium grade (120 µm), fine grade (200 µm). Operators shall select powder grades in accordance with project specific production requirements.

  1. Fine particle powder + hot peel film: Recommended for wash label applications containing miniature fine text.
  2. Coarse particle powder paired with warm peel / cold peel film: Suitable for large area graphic patterns.
  3. Medium granularity hot melt powder serves as the universal option for most production scenarios.
Storage requirement for hot  melt powder: Hermetically sealed storage is mandatory to prevent moisture degradation.

6. Customization Remarks

Disparities in ICC colour profiles, printer hardware, ink formulations, main board firmware and textile base material properties exist across different production sites. Tailored DTF process parameters should be validated according to on site practical conditions to achieve optimal finished part performance.
